In my studio in Essen I work on works of art that are created through the use of intuitive process painting. This painting is characterized by the materials and the technique. In this way, unique works are created because no image can be copied. Find out more about my work below and feel free to contact me directly if you are interested.
The technique of intuitive process painting is based on the medieval fresco/secco technique. The painting process is guided by your own intuition. The reason, order and control that guide us in many things become secondary. The design process and curiosity for colors and materials are in the foreground, without having a conscious goal in mind. The goal is to completely surrender to your intuition and the creative process.
The natural materials I use, such as: B. marsh lime, are applied as part of a specified process.
However, they change during the drying process, so my work can only be controlled to a limited extent.
With each new processing step I get involved again with substrates and color play, cracks and losses are integrated.
Every picture needs a background. For this I use wooden surfaces or high-quality, covered stretcher frames.
The fillers consist of: B. from marble powder and/or marsh lime.
The colors are also unique. I only use self-made colors made from pigments. This creates individual color compositions that are not commercially available.
